The Psi Chi Graduate Scholarship is awarded each year to exception Psi Chi students attending graduate school to help cover education costs. This scholarship is awarded to eight students across the entire international honor society. This year two of the students selected to receive this award were MSP’s very own Erica Medina (PsyD 4) and Ray Kaidbay (PsyD 2).
Erica was awarded this scholarship for her doctoral studies while completing her internship at a university counseling center. Additionally, Erica was recognized for her dissertation work focused on the implementation of an interpersonal psychotherapy intervention for depression with Latino emerging adults.
Ray was awarded this scholarship in for being is a dedicated psychology researcher and practitioner while pursing her PsyD, her focus on psychological flexibility and trauma, and her commitment to advancing mental health through research, clinical practice, and leadership, particularly for underserved populations.as a psychologist.
