MSP Personnel Updates

At the end of January, the MSP staff saw some exciting changes with personnel updates in Student Services.

Photo of Laura LaneLaura Lane, the Director of Administrative Operations, stepped down from her role in order to purse  opportunities beyond MSP. Laura had been an important part of our community since 2007 and had served in a variety of roles including human resources, institutional research, accreditation, board support, and many other multifaceted activities providing assistance with marketing, finance, and more. Throughout her time with us Laura played an integral part in facilitating the growth of our institution and while we will miss her dearly, we are so excited to see what the future holds for her.

Photo of Amanda Ming, MBAAmanda Ming became the Director of Human Resources and Institutional Effectiveness, taking on many of Laura’s previous responsibilities. Amanda had previously served as the Dean of Student Services/Registrar, and her educational background and career experience in Human Resources makes this a smooth transition. Amanda will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and the Institutional Effectiveness function includes institutional compliance and reporting, accreditation, and surveying.

Carrie Hauser headshotCarrie Pyeatt also saw a change in her role at MSP as she transitioned from the  Coordinator of Admissions and Student Engagement to Director of Student Services/Registrar. This role encompasses registration/records, ADA services, graduation, international student services, supervision of admission and student engagement, supervision of the Front Desk. This new role supports Carrie’s career path as she pursues her PhD in Higher Education; Carrie’s expertise and energy make this a natural career progression.

Consequent to these changes, we will be filling the position of Coordinator of Admissions and Student Engagement. The position is currently posted and we hope to have it filled in the Spring. We look forward to welcoming a new staff member to MSP at that time.
