It’s time for our annual Year in Review! As we look back on each month of the academic year, the MSP community can reflect on the changes and growth we have experienced since September, both individually and as a community. Here’s a look at highlights from June 2024.
Members of IDEA attended Ferndale Pride.
MENAPC celebrated a successful first year on campus.
On June 6th, Psi Chi hosted their induction ceremony.
We hosted out annual career fair to connect students with local employers.
Other highlights:
Carrie Pyeatt, Director of Student Services, and Candi Wilson, Director of Communications/Educational Technology, presented on social media and networking on June 4th.
The ABPsi SC held a Juneteenth scavenger hunt.
The Structural Racism Programming Committee offered the opportunity for students to stream “Right to Read.”
Students enjoyed ice cream from Cool Jacks, the opportunity to eat lunch outside, paint flower pots, and enjoy coffee from The Cappuccino Man during Spirit Week.
On June 13th, we hosted the Michigan Higher Education Network Conference on our campus.
Dan O’Neil from Birmingham Maple Clinic presented on Internal Family Systems on June 14th.
On June 18th, ECO participated in a clean-up event on Belle Isle.
Dr. Keenan hosted a meet & greet to connect with students on June 24th.
ABPsi hosted a Safe Black Space Meeting on July 2nd.
On June 10th, the PsyD program hosted an end of year potluck celebration.
Students were invited to attend meet & greets with candidates for the MSP President position, and the whole community was invited to listen to the candidates’ vision talks.
The MA program hosted their annual program synthesis.
Blogs: We celebrated Pride Month and Disability Pride Month, highlighted the student scholarship recipients, learned about the history of Juneteenth and how to maximize our productivity, the Structural Racism Programming Committee shared a summer reading, watching, and listening list.
