Book I would recommend: Charmed Life by Diana Wynne Jones

Favorite quote: “If you can’t feed a hundred people, just feed one.” Mother Teresa

What would people be surprised to know about you? People might be surprised to know that I hate riding bikes. The last time I road a bike was the first time in over a decade. Turns out, the old saying “you can never forget how to ride a bike” is false!

What is a cause you’re passionate about? I am passionate about children’s mental health and overall well being…For the last several years, I’ve volunteered as a youth leader at my church. A large part of what I do there is provide students with a safe place where they can explore the topics and issues of today in a loving and nonjudgmental environment.
Why did you choose to attend MSP? I chose to attend MSP because of its school of thought, clinical approach, and emphasis on people, relationships, and community. I had also been recommended MSP by alumni who were blown away by how cared for they felt by MSP. Not only did they receive an excellent education, they expressed personalized connection between the students and staff. From interacting and interviewing with MSP staff, it is obvious how much they want their students to succeed and flourish.
What do you want to do with your degree/certificate? After I graduate, my plan is to continue on for my PsyD.
What is your plan for after graduation? With these degrees, I wish to fully implement what I’m passionate about. I would love to work with children in an integrative health system where mental health and overall well being are emphasized. Whether this means working out of a clinic or hospital, either way I would be able to give back and utilize the knowledge I’ve gained.
