What would people be surprised to know about you?

I think people would be surprised to know that starting in my early-twenties, I spent five years working in Human Resources for an industrial automation company before my Psychology career.

Name a cause you are passionate about.

I’m passionate about empowering individuals who have been victims of childhood abuse to overcome their trauma and move forward in life.

Why did you choose MSP?

I chose MSP for my doctorate because of the experience I had while getting my MA here. I met some of the most passionate and compassionate people, both professors and classmates. I feel a part of a tight-knit community at MSP which is important to me for graduate education.

What do you want to do with your degree?

Once I complete my PsyD, I plan on opening my own clinic where I’ll be working with clients and bringing on several other clinicians. I would like to work with trauma survivors. I also believe I would enjoy teaching at some point during my career.

How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?

I became interested in the mental health profession when I was about 13 years old and was going to therapy myself during a very difficult period of my life. It was transformative for me, and I realized I wanted to provide that same experience for others.
