The Michigan School of Psychology is proud to share that we’ve been named a Top 100 Degree Producers for minority students in the latest rankings from Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. These rankings, complied from data from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics for 2021-2022, identify institutions that confer the most degrees to underrepresented student populations.
MSP was specifically named #4 in the entire nation for Master’s programs awarding Clinical, Counseling, and Applied Psychology degrees to African American students. Additionally, MSP ranked nationally #17 and #33 respectively for awarding Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical, Counseling, and Applied Psychology to minority students overall.
For an institution as small as MSP to be ranked so high in comparison to much larger institutions of higher education is a true testament to our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in recruitment and admissions processes along with the dedication of faculty and staff to student success. We are proud to be contributing to a diverse workforce in the mental health space and are grateful to receive this recognition.
