It’s time for our annual Year in Review! As we look back on each month of the academic year, the MSP community can reflect on the changes and growth we have experienced since September, both individually and as a community. Here’s a look at highlights from May 2025.
ECO had LaPrisha Daniels come to campus to speak about environmental racism on May 7th.
We hosted our 6th Annual Cultural Appreciation Conference on May 9th.
Psi Chi and Dr. Blackstock hosted Game Nights benefiting CARE House of Oakland County on May 14th and 15th.
On May 20th, Kristie Wyler (MA ’21) shared her tips for job hunting with a TLLP and tackling the EPPP.
In Remembrance
We honored the life of former MSP Program Director, Director of Clinical Training, and Faculty Emerita Dr. Marjorie Scott, who passed away on May 11, 2025.
Other Highlights from May:
As a part of Career Services Month, we offered headshots, resume reviews, and study groups for the BCBA exam and EPPP.
We began a new semester of the self-care series featuring self-care stations, bingo, leave a worry/take a wish, and chai and chat.
Psi Chi hosted a clothing drive for Oakland County Foster Closet.
On May 14th and 27th, we had Life After MSP alumni panels where students could hear from recent graduates.
Psi Chi had the first part of their Dissertation Symposium on May 28th.
Members of the MSP community attended Ferndale Pride on May 31st.
Blogs: We celebrated Jewish American Heritage Month, AANHPI Heritage Month, and our scholarship winners, and Dr. Kyle Glasgow was in the faculty spotlight.
