What would people be surprised to know about you?

I think people would be surprised to know I love camping. I have been lucky enough to go backpacking in a couple of national parks; my dream is to see all of them at least once! My favorite place to sleep is under the stars.

Name a cause you are passionate about.

I am passionate about mental health awareness, suicide prevention, learning disabilities, and children and adults with special needs.

Why did you choose MSP?

I chose to attend MSP for many reasons. I love the humanistic approach to psychology, and I love that I can earn a Master’s in Clinical Psychology while earning my certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis.

What do you want to do with your degree?

After I earn my Master’s and certificate in ABA, I plan on applying for the PsyD program. I plan on working as a therapist in a clinical setting, with children, teens, and families. I also would love to work as an ABA therapist with children. Ideally, my goal is to open a clinic that provides a variety of mental health resources and therapies for individuals and families.

How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?

I was first interested in the mental health profession because I myself received mental health services at a young age and was instantly fascinated. I learned from my own experiences, as well as from family and friends. I knew from a very young age I wanted to help people smile.
