What would people be surprised to know about you? 

It might surprise people that I have a woodworking business.

Name a cause you are passionate about.

I’m genuinely passionate about rescuing animals. We’ve rescued and fostered more than 50 dogs in the last four years, as well as the occasional kitten, turtle, raccoon, and other wild critter.

Why did you choose MSP?

I chose to attend MSP because, after my first master’s degree, I was left wanting real-world clinical experience and a track to licensure. MSP focuses on both of those needs.

What do you want to do with your degree?

I plan to work with human trafficking survivors and first responders. They are two populations with under-treated mental health needs. They are also two populations that tend to be effective in relating to others in the same situations they have been through. The trauma and experiences they go through are unique to only to them. 

What are you most looking forward to about your program?

I’m most looking forward to experiencing clinical settings hands-on and learning more about practical psychopathology. It’s fascinating!
