Kari Hughes (MA 2003) started a fair trade company called Buy the Change in 2011. The company sells fairly traded, women-made products with a focus on creating economic opportunity for women in the developing world.
Carol VanDyke (PsyD 2007) is the psychologist in residence for Fox 2 and WDIV News stations. Dr. VanDyke provides psychotherapy, assessments and evaluations to children, adolescents and adults. Her goal is to facilitate problem resolution and behavior change by empowering the individual client. She specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults with a variety of issues including but not limited to depression, trauma, sexual abuse, self-esteem issues, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, substance abuse, and anger management. Dr. VanDyke also hosts a teen talk show called “Teenvoices4Real.” The show gives teens a platform to speak honestly about how they resolve real life issues.
Ashley Wancour (MA 2012) is employed with The Imagine Center for Psychological Health. Ashley is working primarily with kids and families, but works with couples and individual adult clients as well. Her areas of focus include autism, oppositional defiance, and substance abuse. Ashley enjoys having complete autonomy over her caseload and her methods of treatment.
