The Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO)

Mission

The mission of the MSP Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO) is to bring attention to the climate crisis and its impact on the work of psychologists. The organization strives to spread awareness about the psychosocial impacts of climate change and collective mitigation through encouraging pro-environmental behaviors.

ECO was formed at MSP due to the link between mental health and environmental change. As future psychotherapists and psychologists, students found that it is important to spread awareness about environmental issues and their connection to us. The organization works to decrease the environmental footprint of MSP, create discussion and action around green initiative with MSP students, faculty, and staff, and provides training opportunities in line with APA Division 34.
