What would people be surprised to know about you?

I was born in Saudi Arabia and moved to America in elementary school. When I had first moved to America, the only two languages I knew were Arabic and French. Arabic being the language spoken at home, and French being the language I was taught in school. To this day there’s certain words I don’t say in English or Arabic, only French, although I can no longer speak the language.

Name a cause you are passionate about.

I chose MSP because of the emphasis on the humanistic approach and the supportive and collaborative community that exists within the community.

Why did you choose MSP?

With my degree, I plan to work in clinical settings and see clients of diverse backgrounds. My hope is to one day take over my mother’s mental health private practice.

What do you want to do with your degree?

I first got interested in the mental health profession in my undergraduate studies. I was completing my Bachelors in Psychology and decided I was still very interested in learning more about the field that was when I decided to double major in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Therapy.

How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?

While helping my family member improve her mental health, my desire to help others was unveiled, and my interest in psychology and the mental health profession began.
