What would people be surprised to know about you?
Name a cause you are passionate about.
I am passionate about fentanyl awareness and prevention.
Why did you choose MSP?
I chose to attend MSP because I had a great experience during the MA program and because of MSP’s humanistic approach to therapy.
What do you want to do with your degree?
One of my long-term goals is to own and operate a non-profit equine therapy clinic and partner with correctional facilities or juvenile detention facilities- in efforts to use equine therapy to help the incarcerated individuals learn the healing powers of horses. Another goal of mine is to work as an expert witness in court regarding criminal cases and administering psychological testing and interviewing.
How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?
My interest in psychology began when I took my first elective psychology course in high school. I quickly became fascinated as to why people behave the way they do and just how complex the human mind is. It wasn’t until my dad passed away suddenly when I was seventeen, that I realized that I would devote the rest of my life to psychology. After he passed away, I started speaking with a therapist for the first time. I can honestly say that working with her truly saved my life. After experiencing this hardship, I realized that my passion is to help others that are struggling with their mental health.
