What would people be surprised to know about you?

People would be surprised to know that I went skydiving this summer and loved it! I am currently looking for my next adrenaline rush and thinking about bungee jumping.

Name a cause you are passionate about.

Living in a world where social media has so much influence on body image, eating habits, and social interaction really sparked my interest in the development and treatment of eating disorders. I am eager to use the knowledge I will learn to further understand the biological, psychological, and social factors of eating disorders.

Why did you choose MSP?

As I was researching programs and schools, MSP really stuck out to me because of their values and humanistic perspective. Having a school’s vision aligns with my personal values and beliefs is extremely important to me.

What do you plan to do with your degree?

After working and gaining an understanding of different aspects of the field, I eventually want to open my own practice. I believe this will give me the ability to focus on exactly what I am passionate about.

What is your plan after graduation?

After graduation, I plan to give back to the community by making mental health services available and attainable to everyone interested. This is an extremely important goal of mine and when I am a licensed clinical psychologist, it will give me the ability to offer my services to those who may not have access to the help they need or want.
