Book I would recommend: The Life List by Lori Nelson Spielman

Favorite Quote: “Today is only one day in all the days that will ever be. But what will happen in all the other days that ever come can depend on what you do today” – Ernest Hemingway, For Whom the Bell Tolls

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I have run seven half marathons.

Name a cause you are passionate about.

I’m passionate about mental health. It’s ok to ask for help and it doesn’t make you weak if you take meds or go to therapy. Our mental well-being is just as important as our physical well-being.

Why did you choose MSP?

I chose to attend MSP for its focus on humanistic psychology and for the small and in-person classes.

What do you want to do with your degree?

I want to use my degree and training to work with adults and families from marginalized backgrounds.

How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?

I became interested in the mental health profession after my personal experience in therapy. The trusting environment that was established with my therapist allowed me to work through my own difficulties via processing and building coping skills. I aspired for a career in healthcare to assist in healing others and help people improve their quality of life.
