What would people be surprised to know about you?

I first went to college for accounting and landed a job in bookkeeping and really liked it. I then ended up sick and in the hospital for a few months and it changed my whole outlook; I knew I had to change my career. I wanted to go into a field that helped people. I look back knowing that it would have been faster if I had just gone for this initially, but I feel like this was the path I was supposed to take. I am who I am today because of my experiences.

Name a cause you are passionate about.

Human rights and equality. Everyone should have the right to love who they want to love and to be who they want to be. To not be discriminated against based on race or gender. Everyone should have the right to be happy and to enjoy life.

Why did you choose MSP?

I chose MSP because of the small program size and in-person classes. I believe the environment this school offers will really help me to learn and grow as a psychologist. I also liked that MSP teaches humanistic psychology.

What do you want to do with your degree?

Upon completion of this degree, I would like to work at a clinical practice with an amazing group of psychologists that I can learn from. I plan on going back to school to obtain my PsyD. After obtaining years of experience and my PsyD, I would like to eventually open up my own practice.

What are you most looking forward to about your program?

I am excited to learn as much as I can from my classes and from my amazing professors. I look forward to the day that I am able to apply what I have learned to help someone.;
