What would people be surprised to know about you?

In the program, people would probably be surprised that I am a mother of three, and my youngest is a freshman in college.

Name a cause you are passionate about.

I am passionate about equal rights. My mother was on the front lines of the ERA movement, and I was raised to fight for everyone’s equality.

Why did you choose MSP?

MSP was the only program I was interested in attending. For the last 21 years, I have been working as a certified life and relationship coach. Making this next step in my education and advancing my career was a huge decision. I must be working in a field I am passionate about, and Humanistic Psychology is that field.

What do you want to do with your degree?

I plan to continue working with what I call the “worried well.” Helping individuals, couples, and families focus on communication, reaching their potential, and coming to terms with their past.

How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?

I took a psychology class in college, and I was hooked. Working as a coach has been very rewarding, but I know I can do more and want to be able to help more people with a wider variety of issues.
