What would people be surprised to know about you?
People would be surprised to know that I love DIY projects, big or small. I find working with my hands to be relaxing.
Name a cause you are passionate about.
A cause that I am passionate about is helping children and young adults who have experienced foster care. I am also passionate about medical mistrust in minorities and the long-term effects it has on mental health.
Why did you choose MSP?
I chose to attend MSP because of the focus on the humanistic approach to psychology, the supportive faculty, the intimate class sessions, and the tight-knit community. These are all things I feel are important for me to achieve my goal of becoming a mental health professional.
What do you want to do with your degree?
Once I have completed the master’s program with MSP, I would like to work as an addiction therapist for veterans and as a family therapist.
How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?
My interest in the mental health profession began after a close family member was diagnosed with a mental health condition, and finding resources seemed almost impossible. While researching short-term solutions to help, I found myself wanting to learn more to help others in need.
