Presentation on Eating Disorders

Photo of Valerie LuxonEating disorders are serious mental health disorders that affect people of all genders, races, ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, religions, body shapes and sizes.  It is estimated that over 30 million Americans will have an eating disorder in their lifetime.  Dr. Luxon will discuss what eating disorders are, how to identify them and the complications that can arise due to them.  Evidence-based treatment modalities and intervention found to be helpful in the treatment of eating disorders will be presented.

Valerie Luxon, PsyD, CEDS-S is from MYBody, a practice that was “intentionally created to provide mental health services for eating disorders, addiction, mood disorders”.
