Support USA for UNHCR – THe UN Refugee Agency
UNHCR helps refugees find safe places to be, helps them relocate to the United States, helps them find jobs and livelihoods, helps with education, etc.
How to help:
- Promote inclusion of refugees on your social media
- Donate to UNHCR
- Get involved with Hello Neighbor – https://www.helloneighbor.io/ – A non-profit that improves the lives of refugees by matching them with dedicated neighbors in their new communities to guide and support them in their new lives. The mentorship program helps refugee families engage on life skills and in cultural opportunities together. The pilot program launched in Pittsburgh in 2017 and there are plans to expand to other U.S. cities.
