The ABPsi Student Circle will be holding a weeklong Kwanzaa celebration. Starting on November 30th a Kwanzaa display table gets set up in the atrium with a Kwanzaa Table Cloth, Kwanzaa Kinara Set, Mkeka Mat, Unity Cup, a bowl of fruit, and some ears of corn. They will also have a sign that displays the seven principles of Kwanzaa and their meanings. This table will be displayed through December 8th.
The seven principles and when the student circle is celebrating them:
- Umoja (Unity) – Monday, December 4th
- Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) – Tuesday, December 5th
- Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility) – Monday, December 4th – Thursday, December 7th
- Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) – Thursday, December 7th
- Nia (Purpose) – Wednesday, December 6th
- Kuumba (Creativity) – Thursday, December 7th
- Imani (Faith) – Monday, December 4th
