MSP’s Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (IDEA) is hosting an Activism Week Sunday, November 15 – Tuesday, November 24 and is looking for your support! The committee of MSP students and staff has chosen 10 social justice organizations including The UN Refugee Agency, The Malala Fund, Black Leaders Detroit, Innocence Project and more to support through education, donations and actions.

Black Leaders Detroit has a mission to provide financial support for diverse social and community impact projects originated and led by Detroiters of African descent.
How to Help:
- Support Black Owned Businesses in Detroit and elsewhere! Here is a list from WXYZ Detroit of 400+ Black Owned Businesses in Metro Detroit https://www.wxyz.com/news/heres-a-list-of-the-400-black-owned-businesses-in-metro-detroit-on-blackout-day-2020
- Donate your time or abilities to BLD–contact them via email ([email protected]) or phone (313.346.2779) for specific ways to help.
- Donate to BLD Fund–They are currently asking for $1/week for their program, Affect Change, which will be used to help Black residents in Detroit. They are also running a “Restore the Village Fund,” where your donations will go to help small businesses and organizations in Detroit weather the storm of Covid-19, or you can choose to donate whatever you are able to.
