Film Screening: Buried Above Ground

Join us for this free screening of the award winning documentary “Buried Above Ground” that portrays the experiences* of three people who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Doors will open at 6 PM and the film will begin at 6:30 PM.

The film will be followed by a Q&A session with a panel of experts including Amani Musaibli, LLMSW, Supervisor/Therapist for the Survivors of Torture program at Access, core faculty member Dr. Johanna Buzolits, and doctoral student and military veteran Chris Corbin (PsyD 2).

This film screening is part of Student Engagement’s “Lessons from Our Alumni Series” as the complementary event to the discussion with MSP alum Richard Janka, PsyD (’12) on his dissertation A Comparison of PTSD Symptoms of Law Enforcement Officers Who Have Responded to Critical Incidents Involving Death.

*This documentary contains explicit accounts of traumatic events, including personal experiences during times of war, in domestic violence, and during a natural disaster. 

    All events for the 2023-2024 academic year will be offered both in-person and via zoom unless otherwise noted on the event's page.
