Accessibility Services at the Michigan School of Psychology strives to support students with disabilities in order to provide an accessible learning environment.
This includes working collaboratively with students to understand their needs, providing support to faculty to implement appropriate accommodations, and focusing on accessibility throughout campus.
It is the policy of MSP to offer reasonable accommodations to qualified students with disabilities, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. If a student with a documented disability wishes to receive accommodations in order to participate in the courses, programs, or activities offered by the school, the student typically needs to submit diagnostic documentation and potentially a completed form from their doctor to the Director of Student Services/Registrar and meet with the Director of Student Services/Registrar to complete the interactive process. Upon the return of all required documentation and completion of the meeting, the Director of Student Services/Registrar will develop a reasonable accommodation plan and communicate, as appropriate, with the relevant faculty and/or personnel regarding accommodations. The use of these services is voluntary.
