What would people be surprised to know about you?
People would be surprised that I have released two full-length albums as a music producer/DJ, touring in Denver, NYC, California and playing numerous shows locally in Detroit.
Name a cause you are passionate about.
A cause I’m passionate about is Lifelong Learning! One goal I have to facilitate this cause is to read 1,000 books in my lifetime.
Why did you choose MSP?
I became very intrigued by the idea of a psychological education of the humanistic bent, especially in the Metro Detroit area keeping me close to my family and friends. I like the idea of helping individuals actualize their potential and with MSP’s roots in Humanistic Psychology, it feels like a great place to learn the best way to approach this in the psychological context.
What do you want to do with your degree?
I plan on progressing on from the MA program to either receive a PsyD/PhD in Clinical Psychology. With the eventual end goal of creating a growth center (private practice) dedicated to the pursuit of wisdom, health, optimism, trust, and family extended outwards to the greater community with a focus on sustainable practices dedicated to the mind, body and soul.
How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?
Reading Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience and awakening the clinical hypeman within my junior year of college. Realizing that by studying & partaking in the mental health profession, I could be a beacon of hope for others to find the will to keep going amidst whatever life may throw at my collaborators and friends.
