Three candidates were chosen and more information on those candidates will be shared next week.

On-campus interviews will take place on Monday, July 15th, Tuesday, July 16th and Thursday, July 18th. The agenda for each day is the same and is as follows:

The goal remains to submit an unranked recommendation of finalists to the Board of Trustees by the end of this month. Only the Board of Trustees has the authority to select the next President of MSP. Per the Michigan Legislature, the control of the business and secular affairs of every such educational corporation shall be vested in a board of directors or trustees. Such board shall also have exclusive control over the educational affairs and policy of such institution, and as such may appoint, employ and pay the salary of a president, or principal (MCL 450.175).

Questions regarding the searching, screening, and selecting of the President should be directed to the co-chairs of the search committee (Dr. Ryan Blackstock & Tami Jacobs).
