An inescapable virus of the mental illness pandemic, practitioners often find themselves working at the intersection of law and psychology either in social service or private practice settings, or when addressing reform initiatives. Forensic work occurs either by directly working with clients in specialized settings, or those friends, family, co-workers, or any persons who are affected by forensically-oriented issues.
- crime victims
- sex offenders
- the incarcerated
- dual diagnoses
- drug courts
- Friend of the Courts
- at-risk minorities
The Forensic Speaker Series has been developed and tailored specifically to address the Michigan School of Professional Psychology student community. It is being brought to you by Humanistic practitioner-scholars of psychology who have trained and worked in forensics.
Whether you have a curiosity as to what Forensic Psychology truly entails, or are interested in learning about a specialized population, the Forensic Speaker Series is intended to address your wonderment.
Unique to any other Forensic series, the MSP Forensic Speaker Series will address the ways in which forensics can be blended with the core concepts and principles of Humanistic psychology to build on the technical and relational education and expertise of both fields and its practitioners.
