Staff Spotlight: Megan Mraz

At the start of the academic year, we were delighted to welcome Megan Mraz, as our new Executive Assistant. Below, Megan offers insight into her role at MSP and a little about herself. Welcome, Megan!

Give us a snapshot of your professional/academic background.

I graduated from Millikin University in Decatur, IL with a Human Services degree. After graduation, I worked as a Development Specialist with local nonprofit organizations, focusing on fundraising and volunteer retention. From there I began my work as an Executive Assistant, and have worked with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Most recently I worked for a real estate investment firm that focused on purchasing and improving distressed multifamily housing.

Describe your role at MSP.

As Executive Assistant, I will be primarily assisting the President, Vice President of Services and Operations, and Board of Trustees.

What attracted you to working at MSP?

MSP feels like a great combination of people with different educations, experiences, and backgrounds all coming together to work toward a very clear goal. My new role feels like such a great combination of my own professional and academic experience as well!

What are you looking forward to most in this position?

Because this is a new position at MSP, I am most excited to see how it develops! I look forward to assisting the staff, faculty, and students in any way that I can.

What is one thing that people might be surprised to know about you?

People might be surprised to know that I am new to the state of Michigan. I just moved here in August and am loving it so far!
