What would people be surprised to know about you?
I have painted murals, illustrated a children’s book, rode motorcycles, played Minecraft past midnight, read numerous sci-fi and fantasy fiction books, visited Carlsbad Caverns, saw bullet holes made by Billy the Kid, watched countless hours of K-dramas and listened to as many hours of K-pop, read manga, watched anime, roller skated 6 nights a week, and am allergic to animals despite having 5 fur babies. I have lived a lot of life.
Name a cause you are passionate about.
I am passionate about reducing the stigma of seeking mental health services. I would love to see it be as normal as a trip to the doctor for a sore throat or wellness checkup.
Why did you choose MSP?
I value the humanistic perspective; it informs how I try to live my personal and professional life. I felt MSP would be a good fit for me for this reason.
What do you want to do with your degree?
I want to grow my professional capabilities so I can provide excellent trauma-informed care to those who have experienced relational trauma, and I also want to be able to mentor others in their career development.
How did you first get interested in the mental health profession?
I have been interested in the mental health profession since high school, when I was inspired by a wonderful teacher and a desire to understand my own family experience.
