What would people be surprised to know about you?

People might be surprised that I’ve been skydiving before in Michigan and would love to do it again in a different state/location!

Name a cause you are passionate about.

This is a hard question because I feel passionate about so many causes and honing in on these causes has been somewhat of a challenge for me as well! However, I have always been passionate surrounding women’s issues, especially as it pertains to concerns surrounding sexual liberation and freedom, and better supporting women in marginalized communities.

Why did you choose MSP?

After attending the master’s program here, I learned how strong the community is at MSP and how helpful that was for my academic and personal growth. After deciding that I wanted to pursue my doctorate, it felt like a very easy decision to return. I continue to learn so much from the faculty and my fellow students here, and the presence of a strong interconnected community has furthered my personal and professional growth and competency.

What do you want to do with your degree?

I have always wanted my work in psychology to better impact those in underserved populations. Therefore, my long-term life plans will be aimed at serving these populations of people, whether it be through future work at an inpatient hospital or through my own private practice, offering services to those in underserved communities. I also value diversity in my day-to-day responsibilities, so I hope to be able to teach one day as well.
