MSP Student Ambassadors serve as representatives of the student body and are here to answer any questions you may have about student life at MSP.
Our ambassadors each bring a unique personal perspective to student life – some are fresh out of undergraduate studies, some balance parenthood and classwork, and some are taking classes part-time and working.
Each ambassador has volunteered personal information they are willing to share with prospective students.

Aya Aldhalimi

My name is Aya Aldhalimi and I am a first-year PsyD student. I received my Master's in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from MSP in 2024. I am a first generation Arab American graduate and I currently work at an ABA clinic with children on the Autism Spectrum.
Francesca Bellisario

Francesca Bellisario is a first-year student in the PsyD program at MSP. She completed a combined Baccalaureate/Master’s program at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, graduating with degrees in Forensic Psychology and an Advanced Certificate in Victimology Studies. Francesca’s focus at MSP centers around supporting survivors of interpersonal violence from diverse backgrounds, with a commitment to fostering advocacy, equity, and inclusion in the field of psychology.
Alizay Naqvi

I'm a first year student in the PsyD program. My goal was to do this program at MSP since 2020 as the humanistic foundation relates to my personal values. Over the last 4 years, I received 2 master's degrees and became a registered behavior technician while trying to achieve a goal that seemed so difficult. My ultimate dream was to teach and do therapy. I struggled to believe in myself and my capabilities. However, the culture, faculty, and staff at MSP pushed me through my toughest moments. Now, I have found my therapy focus and am an adjunct faculty at Lawrence Technological University. I commute from Windsor, Ontario, and all across Southeastern Michigan while I balance work and school.
Blake Kozlowski

Blake Kozlowski is a PsyD student and a graduate of MSP's full-time MA program. He received his BS in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina. He is the 2024-25 school year Psi Chi chapter President. He lives in the Metro Detroit area and works at a nonprofit seeing clients who are survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking. His clinical interests include complex trauma and working with underserved populations.
Renelle Staebler Lamey

Renelle got her BA in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Michigan and then took some time to raise her family. 4 children later she has returned to school to pursue her MA in Psychology in MSPs part-time program. She plans to do therapy with individuals, couples, and families. Renelle balances the demands of the doctoral program with working and is happy to speak to anyone with questions about MSP!
Second Year
Samantha Abouzeeni

Samantha is a student in the PsyD program at MSP. She graduated from the full-time MA Clinical Psychology program at MSP in 2023. Samantha resides in Windsor, Ontario, and commutes to MSP.
Emily Ehrlich

Emily Ehrlich is a second year PsyD student. She received her bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Windsor and Master degree of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She has spent time researching and presenting at Neuropsychological conferences across the United States and Canada. Spending most of her time focused on child linguistic development, and parentification across populations. Where her current interests are rooted in sex therapy, marriage counselling, and sexual health development. She is working towards becoming a Clinical Psychotherapist and has uniformly taken an integrative approach to providing therapeutic support across the adult population.
Cassidy Girard

Cassidy earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology from Northern Michigan University. She has experience working in private practice settings with testing, diagnosing, and treating disorders among all ages. Her interests involve neuropsychology and research. Effectively managing stress and maintaining a healthy work-life balance are crucial to success in graduate school. She is happy to have discussions about this with potential students!
Charlie Shamey

Charlie Shamey earned his BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and his MA in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology. He is a second-year PsyD student with areas of interest in multicultural psychology, neuropsychology, and trauma. He is excited to work with incoming students and answer any questions they may have.
Third Year
Ray Kaidbay

Ray is a third year student in the PsyD program at MSP. She pursued her BA in Psychology in Lebanon and her master's in the UK. She co-founded a mental health initiative called Be Brave Beirut that provides free and anonymous remote emotional support. She has been a teaching assistant for Dr. Callan's PSYC 615 Psychopathology & Personality Change course and isinvolved in student organizations. Feel free to reach out to her.
Klarissa Matanos

Hello! I am a PsyD3 student and just graduate of the full-time MA program from MSP. I am an Arab American and first generation college student. I have many areas of interest including: eating disorders, trauma in our first responders, suicide prevention, and creating programs to prevent recidivism.
Fourth Year
Courtney Cabell

Courtney entered the PsyD program after completing the full-time MA program at MSP. She has experience in balancing the demands of full-time study, full-time work, and family. She is passionate about researching and working with minorities and trauma.
Hannah Kingkittisack

Hannah is a fourth-year student in the PsyD program and a graduate of MSP's MA/ABA program. She chose to extend her PsyD program to 5 years in order to acquire more opportunities for clinical training and have more time to focus on her dissertation. She enjoys specializing in child and adolescent psychotherapy and is preparing for internship.
Tara Pope

Tara entered the PsyD program after completing the MA/ABA program at MSP. She enrolled at MSP five years after receiving her Bachelor's degree in Biology. She is passionate about working with underserved communities to address intergenerational and complex trauma.
Avery Potvin

Avery is a PsyD student and a graduate of MSP's MA program. She is an international student and commutes to MSP while residing in Canada. She also works in private practice as a supervised therapist in Windsor, Ontario.
