Structural Racism and Inequities in Education: Effects on Students and Strategies for the Future

This one-hour presentation on January 26 (12:15 – 1:00 PM) by Danielle Balaghi, PhD (right) and Chimereodo Okoroji, PhD will highlight the racism inherent in educational institutions’ policies and practices. In addition, structural racism’s effects on students–academically, socially, and psychologically–will be discussed. Lastly, specific strategies to help address some of these inequities will be provided.
