Supervisor: Kinsey Tekiele – Director of Admission & Student Affairs

Appointment: September 2026- July 2027

Stipend/Payment: $20.15/hour

Hours: 10 hours per week

Job Description

The Graduate Assistant – Admissions supports the Office of Admissions in advancing recruitment, admissions, and enrollment initiatives for prospective students. This position assists with the planning and execution of recruitment events, admissions processing, data management, and student outreach efforts while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Position Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of admissions recruitment events, including open houses, sample classes, information sessions, and more
  • Attend admissions recruitment events and/or graduate fairs as assigned
  • Research admissions & recruitment best practices and make recommendations
  • Provide support with admissions processing, including interview preparation, applicant evaluations, data management, and more
  • Assist with files in support of admissions auditing
  • Utilize student information systems for entering and updating admissions data
  • Assist in oversight of student ambassador program, including communicating with ambassadors and planning ambassador projects
  • Assist with admissions website management

Position Qualifications

An individual applying for the position must meet the following qualifications:

  • Incoming or current MA or PsyD student in good academic standing
  • Available to work 10 hours per week
  • Work with a high level of discretion and confidentiality to maintain professional/student boundaries
  • Strong writing, research, technical and organization/administrative skills
  • Proficient in use of technology including Word, Excel, Google Docs and Canva
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to network with other professionals and students
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed and autonomous, strong work ethic
  • Reliable and flexible
